Carol Mayhood Manuel Elliott, 83, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Scottish Pines.
A funeral service was held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Wayne Wike and Rev. Dr. Ray Sutherland. Burial followed at Hillside Memorial Park.
Born May 5, 1934, in Effingham County, IL, she was a daughter of the late Orville Charles and Mildred Josephine Finfrock Mayhood. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the WMU, FBC Choir and a member of the Lioness Club. Carol was an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her son, Michael D. Manuel (Jenny) of Maxton; daughters Cindy M. Beagle (Dwight) of Carolina Shores and Kristie L. Manuel of Laurinburg; Ten grandchildren; Twelve great grandchildren; One great great grandchild; sister, Gwendolyn Mann (Robert) of Effingham, IL; and brother, Charles Eugene Mayhood (Jeannie) of Effingham, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband's Gerald Eugene Manuel and Charles M. Elliott.
