Florence "Floss" Kinkelaar Marten died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in her home in Glencoe, Mo.
She was born April 27, 1931, in Effingham to George and Bernadine Nacke Kinkelaar, the second daughter of seven children. She married Frederick "Dick" Marten on March 8, 1949. He died Jan. 28, 2015.
Survivors include son, Glen (Sue) Marten of Wentzville, Mo.; daughters, Shanon (Jim) Weismueller of Scottsdale, Ariz., Connie Grosch (Reinhard Sokul) of Providence, R.I., and Ann (Patrick Foley) of Corpus Christie, Texas; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Barb) Kinkelaar of Holbrook, Ariz., Greg Kinkelaar of Wright City, Mo., and Ken Kinkelaar of Effingham; sisters, Annie (Tom, deceased) Miller of Teutopolis, and Judy (Clete) Goeckner of Effingham; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Suzanne Kinkelaar of Wentzville, Mo.; and brother-in-law, Bill Burke.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Jean Buzzard; brother-in-law, Tom Miller; sister-in-law, Rosie Burke; and sister-in-law and husband, Eli and Bob Siefken.
Schrader Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, Mo., 63011, is assisting. A memorial service will be held in June.
