Naomi Gail Rentfro, 93, of Neoga, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at her daughter's residence.
She was born September 21, 1924, in Strasburg, the daughter of Walter and Opal (Kull) Keller. Gail was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Strasburg and she attended the Free Methodist Church of Neoga. She was a retired seamstress for the Kern Manufacturing Company of Neoga, after 40 years of service. She loved to garden, quilting and visiting with her family and friends, most of all she loved her grandchildren and was happiest when they were underfoot. After she retired she took care and looked after several elderly people in their home.
She leaves seven children, Charles Rentfro (Darlene) of Spokane, WA, Donna Krietemeyer of Etna, Ronald Rentfro (Shirley) of Olney, Kenneth Rentfro of Neoga, Barbara Lawyer (Mick) of Neoga, Pamela Conger (Charles) of Paris, TN, and Brenda Keigley of Neoga; 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rentfro was preceded by her parents, three brothers, Ivan, Don and Junior Keller, one sister, Ruth Thurman and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Grace Lutheran Church of Strasburg. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga and for one hour before services at the church. The family requests casual attire. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon, IL. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, is in charge of arrangements.
