Gerald Wright

Gerald Wright was born to Phyllis and Emil Wright in 1950, brother of Clifford Ray Wright, all of whom greeted him in Heaven on August 7th, 2019.

He met his lovely bride, Deanna Wright, in college and began a family shortly thereafter. Not wanting a small family, Deanna & Jerry raised Tammy Bridges, Michelle Jacobs, Kristi Calderwood, Justin Wright, and Jason Wright as well as many foster children and dorm children at Southwest Indian School. Jerry also had many grandchildren who he loved dearly: Cliff Gould, Becky Bridges, Kaleb Calderwood, Kyra Calderwood, Ty Jacobs, Ellie Jacobs, Anthony Garey, Jacob Wright, Ella Wright, and great granddaughter, Evelyn Gould.

Jerry's greatest accomplishment is that he honored God in all he that did. He followed God's calling for his life & was a wonderful and loving son, husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of work and being that many are inspired by. This world is truly a better place because of the years Jerry spent here.

"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength do do His work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve Him." 1 Timothy 1:12

First Christian Church sponsored Jerry and Deanna with NAYM for many years. They came and shared what they were doing in their ministry many times during our worship service. I pray for Deanna to get through this difficult time
