John D. Maroon, 53, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Altamont, died, Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gieseking Funeral Home with visitation for one hour prior to the service. John David Maroon was born on Thursday, Dec. 2, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Delbert and Ellie (McClain) Maroon. He was a 1982 graduate of Altamont Community High School, a graduate of Lake Land College, Mattoon, and attended Eastern Illinois University, Charleston.
He is survived by his parents, Delbert and Ellie Maroon of Altamont, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
