LaWanna B. Fulk, 66, of Altamont, formerly of Beecher City, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. LaWanna was born on September 24, 1951, in Olney, the daughter of Carl E. and Naydean (Weisenberger) Deom. She married William "Bill" Fulk Jr. on July 20, 1973 in Villa Grove. He passed away on August 28, 2010. LaWanna was a homemaker who cherished time spent with her loved ones. She was a member of Christ Tabernacle Church in Herrick.
She is survived by her father, Carl Deom of Carmi; daughter, Wendy (Joshua) Klitzing of Altamont; son, William Fulk III of Joliet; grandson, Zachary Massie of Altamont; granddaughter, Katie Massie (fiancé Alex Robert); sister, Josephine (Louie) Anderson of St. Louisville, OH; brother, John Peterson (Connie Turner) of Crossville; great-granddaughter, Gina Lea of Watson and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Preceding her in death were her mother, husband, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and grandparents. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Bishop Thomas Suey officiating.
