William F. Heuerman

William F. Heuerman, 94, of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Illinois. He was born in Teutopolis, Illinois the son of the late Frank and Catherine nee Dust Heuerman. He was also preceded by his wife, Marjorie, nee Tabor, Heuerman, two sisters and three brothers.

Bill proudly served his country during WWII while in the Navy and served on the U.S.S. Mount Olympus. He was a claims adjuster for Madison Mutual Insurance and Allstate Insurance. Bill loved the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing, hunting and truly enjoyed golfing. He formerly attended the First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville, Illinois. He was also a former member of the Wooden Shoes stars of the hardwood at Teutopolis High School where he and the rest of the team had many achievements and won many trophies. In 1942 Bill earned his Bachelor Degree and graduated from Bradley University.

He is survived by his companion, Viola, nee McCaslin, Hightower and her children, Nancy Weckman and Kathy Aczinowicz & their children and several nieces and nephews

Memorials may be given to the Greater St. Louis Honor Flight or Shriners Childrens Hospital and condolences may be expressed at www.herrfuneral.com.

A memorial visitation will be on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, Illinois. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Dr Rev. Lloyd Shaw will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
