Eleanor "Eileen" Welch, 98, of Ingraham passed away at 9:25 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Flora Rehab and Health Care Center in Flora.
Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday. A celebration of life will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Eileen was born July 6, 1918, the daughter of the late Oma (Musgrove) Galloway. She was employed by Hi-Low Foods in Chicago as a cashier. On July 4, 1937, she was united in marriage to Dallas Welch at the Ingraham Christian Church in Ingraham. To this union two sons and one daughter were born.
She leaves to mourn her passing, sons, Darrell (Dana) Welch of St. Helen's, OR, and Norman (Penny) Welch of Geneva, FL; grandchildren, Bret (Sheri) Goebel of Houston, TX, granddaughter-in-law Lis Goebel of Tampa, FL, Philip (Susan) Goebel of Cleveland, TN, Jeff (Teresa) Goebel of Houston, TX, Sandra Welch of Sacramento, CA, Eric (Jen) Welch of Sacramento, CA, Amy Welch, Indianapolis, and Anna Welch of Indianapolis; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Welch; daughter, Rita Goebel; brother, Lowell Galloway; sisters, Mabel Rude and Anna Shaner; and grandson, Gary Goebel.
