Frank I. Springman, 95, of St. Elmo passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Aperion Care St. Elmo in St. Elmo.
Memorial services will be at 12 p.m. (noon) Saturday, June 3, at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham. Burial will be in Saint Bonaventure Cemetery in St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Frank to the American Diabetes Association. Frank was born on Dec. 29, 1921, in Brownstown, the son of Frank and Maude (Workman) Springman. He married Waneta Larimore on Feb. 3, 1949, and she preceded him in death on July 25, 2008.
Frank was a farmer and also had worked at Revere Copper and Brass in Clinton. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in St. Elmo.
He is survived by his children, Jacinta (Mark) Savedra of Independence, MO, Ron (Susie) Springman of Clinton, and Michael (Joni) Springman of St. Elmo; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Phyllis and Iris.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers; and four sisters.
