Doug L. Bushue
Doug L. Bushue, 59, of Teutopolis, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2019, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.

Doug was born on June 28, 1960, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Leroy F. and Rita R. (Campbell) Bushue. Doug graduated from Effingham High School in 1979. He married Jane M. Lohman on December 7, 1985 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. First and foremost, Doug was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Doug worked at Kroger for 38 years until there closure in Effingham. He then worked with Community Support Systems as a Janitorial Crew Supervisor. He found great joy and fulfillment through working with CSS. He also enjoyed working in the yard, caring for his roses, and mushroom hunting.
Doug is survived by his wife, Jane of Teutopolis; sons, Cody (Adrienne) Bushue of Strasburg, and Zakary Bushue of Teutopolis; mother, Rita Bushue of Effingham; sister, Brenda (Jeff) Kreke of Teutopolis; brothers, Kent (Ann) Bushue, Brad (Lisa) Bushue, and Jeff Bushue all of Effingham; parents-in-law, Ray and Judy Lohman of Teutopolis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom (significant other, Leslie Robards) Lohman of Dieterich, Todd (Sandy) Lohman of Effingham, and Renee (Kenny) Feldhake of Watson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
