Yale, IL - John Joseph Huber known affectionately as Jack, age 79, of Yale, IL passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Greenup Rehab and Nursing Center in Greenup, IL. He was born April 12, 1947 in Rose Hill, IL the son of Bernard J. Huber and Marjorie Evelyn (Warren) Huber. On August 5, 1967 he married Betty Carol Martin in Yale, IL.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Huber of Yale, IL; sons, Rick Huber (Robin Anderson) of Casey, IL and Chris Huber of Yale, IL; sister, Ethel Dhom of Oblong, IL; grandchildren, Austin Huber, Sidney Akers (Brayton) and Devon Huber; great grandchildren, Ameilla, Averie and Bennett Akers; several nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven brothers and sisters.

Jack was a 1965 graduate of Newton High School. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Jack was an agricultural farmer for many years and retired from Stevens Industries in Teutopolis, IL. He was a member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting and dining out.

At his request cremation rites were accorded and no services will be held.
