Keith Robert Lasher
It is with great sadness that the family of Keith Robert Lasher announces his passing, on Wednesday October 30, 2019, at the age of 25, at his residence in Effingham, Illinois.
Keith was born May 2, 1994 in Albany, New York. Keith graduated from Effingham High School in 2012. He was very active and won awards in many extra-curricular activities, including theater, wrestling, track, cross-country, and choir. Football was his sport, and he proudly wore #11 and #26 on his jerseys. Keith loved life, his family, and his loyal dog, Arri.
Keith will be lovingly remembered by his parents Robert and Jessica Lasher and Janette Civitello. His brothers and sisters: Brandon Goodermote, Logan Lasher, Alexsandra Lasher, Kyle Bliss, Eric Lasher, and Rachell Guilboard. Keith will also be fondly remembered by his paternal grandfather, Thomas J. Lasher Jr.; maternal grandparents, Patricia M. Chassey and Charles B. Smith; uncles and aunts, Thomas (Joanne) Lasher III, Dawn (Tim) Bloemker, Steve (Tara) Lasher, Lisa (Kevin) McNeil, Phillip Wood, Nancy (Darrin) Lavare, Ruth (Peter) Defiglio, Dianne (James) Luffman, James (Wendy) Smith, and Douglas Smith; cousins, Matthew Hage, Nicholas (Chelsey) Hage, Thomas Lasher IV, Ryan Luffman, Angel Luffman, Jeremiah Smith, Jason Smith, Benjamin Smith, and Joshua Smith; special friend, Cheyenne Green; family friend, David Guilboard; many nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.
Keith was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Thomas J. Sr. and Teresa Lasher; paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Bartoli; and his sister, Samantha Ruth Lasher.
A private viewing for family and friends will be held at the Johnson Funeral Home located at 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary. Online condolences may be shared at
