Marion - Kenneth A. Davidson, 97 of Marion, Illinois passed away at 12:01 p.m. Sundaym, January 18, 2026 at Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Goldman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Military Honors being conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion, and Army Burial Ritual Team will follow.

Kenneth was born on January 2, 1929 in Effingham County the son of Kenneth Earl Davidson and Myrtle (Loy) Davidson. He lived in Watson, Illinois and was a member of Watson Baptist Church.

Kenneth graduated from Effingham High School and worked at Fedders Corporation.

He is survived by 6 children, Evelyn and husband, Ron McGee, daughter, Donna and husband, Scott Hall, Brenda and husband, Bruce McLaren, Melissa and husband, Bryan Gibbens, and Janet and husband, Adolfo Chavera and son, Joseph Davidson. He had 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

His surviving siblings are June Ashley, Alice Frailey (husband Jerry), Phillip Davidson (wife Kim) brother in law Harold Neal, and sister in law Mary Davidson. There are also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arthur Davidson (wife Evea), sister Martha Neal, brother Jim Davidson, brother-in-law Bill Ashley, daughter Marsha Suiter (husband Chuck), grandson Anthony Chavera and a daughter-in-law Bobette Davidson.

Kenneth A. Davidson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was an avid gardener and more recently he enjoyed putting puzzles together, and playing card games.
