Mattoon - On Thursday May 21, 2026, our beloved mother, Sheila Ann Zellner, returned home to our Father in Heaven. She was born Tuesday April 21st, 1964 in Shelbyville, Illinois to Clifford J. Koester Sr. and Deloris J. (Rentfro) Koester, by whom she is preceded in death.

She is survived by her devoted husband Justin P. Zellner and her children Benjamin J. Floyd, April L. Systo (Brandon), and Mathew R. Floyd (Samantha); and her stepchildren Trystin, Trace, and Tyler Zellner.

She also leaves behind her former husband Charles Floyd and five stepchildren from that union whom she loved and raised as her own: Stacy Floyd, Theresa Carr, Dawn Kuefner, Charles Floyd, and Crystal Rodriguez. She will be watching over all of her children, stepchildren, grandchildren and step grandchildren.

Additionally, Sheila is survived by her brothers and sister: Clifford J. Koester (Laura), Cindy S. Dial, Fred E. Koester (Inga), and Eric A. Koester (Amy).

Sheila was a 1982 graduate of Stewardson-Strasburg High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was a long-time pianist and chorister. Her beautiful music will be missed by all who knew her.

The public is invited to her memorial service to be held Saturday July 25th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 905 W. Holly Dr., Effingham, Illinois.
